DarkWolf 3D
is a homage to
one of the best game of all times,
Wolfenstein
3D.
I made this game with
DarkBasic Pro for
a Retro Game Coding Competition.
It's made as a
Wolfenstein-meet-SouthPark-meet-Headach-Pills
type of game. I've
tried to stay true to the original game, adding some new features
that enhance the gameplay and the visual while not
changing it.
-1 GHz P4 with 512 meg ram and with a GeForce3.
-Directx 8.1.
-The game run in 800*600 in 32 bits and make use of fog effect.
-Download at your own risk.
Features:
-Orthogonal 3D game engine.
-Each map is made of 64x64 tiles.
-Players, decorative 3d objects and entities are integrated.
-7 Type of Entity: Player spawns, Plains, Doors, Light, Items, Enemies and Triggers.
-Up opening, left opening and secret doors.
-10 Items including ammo, health, weapons, treasures and megabonus.
-4 Weapons: Knife, Pistol, SMG and Machingun.
-8 Types of enemy: Dogs, Guards, Soldier, Officers, SS, UberSS, Mutants and DeathKnights.
-3 Bosses, one of wich have two forms.
-3 Types of trigger: Lock, Teleport and Load level.
-Complete menu system with Help, Loadgame and Savegame.
-Transparent HUD with dynamic map and compass.
-Real lightning and smoke effect .
-Bloodcast effect that stick to wall and ground.
-Muzzle flash and bullet holes in wall.
-All sounds either from the DarkBasicPro CD or from my mouth =).
-The classic Wolf3D cheat code =).
-A map editor (not that user friendly for now and not included in this release) made in Rapid-Q
-10 Levels + one secret level =).
